Dr. Dorte Bladt
Dorte Bladt is passionate about chiropractic care for children. She has been a chiropractor for over 30 years and has dedicated the past 20 years to caring for little ones. She has a Master’s degree in Chiropractic Paediatrics as well as a Certificate in Chiropractic Paediatrics and in Paediatric Neuro-behavioural Disorders. Dorte is founder of the ‘Switched-on Kids’ education programmes. ‘SOK’ teaches chiropractors about vital aspects of assessment and care for children, both face-to-face and online. The book ‘Switched-on Kids – The natural way for children to be their best’ was published by Dorte in 2016 with the aim to inspire, motivate and educate parents and teachers to help children through chiropractic, movement and nutrition. Dorte launched ‘The Kids’ Summit’ in 2015. The aim is to facilitate connection between like-minded chiropractors, provide education in important aspects of chiropractic care for children as well as raise funds for research into chiropractic care for children. ‘The Kids’ Summit’ has raised over $200.000 and has already funded several important research projects. Chiropractor (New Zealand College of Chiropractic 1999) who has also has gained a PhD in human neurophysiology (University of Auckland 2008). I have been the Director of Research at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic since 2006. At the College I am part of the top administrative team where I take part in the strategic plan development & implementation. I also run the Centre for Chiropractic Research at the College, which is internationally renowned for the research programme I have developed and conducted. I have been an integral part of designing, developing, coordinating and teaching multiple courses within the curriculum at the College. Knowledge translation is also passion of mine, and I have author a book called ‘The Reality Check: A quest to Understand Chiropractic from the inside out’ (www.heidihaavik.com). This book describes in easy to understand language what happens in the brain when a chiropractor adjusts dysfunctional segments in the spine. I am also the director of a company called Haavik Research Ltd which is aimed at practicing clinicians to become better consumers of the relevant scientific literature. I maintain an Adjunct Professor position at the University of Ontario, Institute of Technology in Oshawa, Canada and have strong collaborative relationships with multiple scientists in the fields of neurophysiology, bioengineering, and spinal pain. I have received numerous research awards and has published a number of papers in chiropractic and neurophysiology journals and I have presented my work to both chiropractic and neuroscience communities around Australasia, Africa, North America and Europe. I have become one of the most sought after speakers within the chiropractic profession. I am on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics and Journal of Chiropractic Education and am a Review Editor in Movement Science and Sport Psychology for Frontiers in Psychology and Sports Science. I was named Chiropractor of the year in 2007 by both the New Zealand Chiropractic Association and the New Zealand College of Chiropractic Alumni Association. I am highly motivated and have a strong inner drive and passion for my work. I have a natural ability to lead and work well independently and in group settings.

Dr. Steve WilliamsDr Williams has practised chiropractic and had a significant interest in chiropractic paediatrics for the past thirty years. He has lectured on four continents and he has been the key note speaker for many national chiropractic organisations and undertakes more than 20 speaking engagements per year.
Currently Dr Williams is a board member of the British Chiropractic association and he has previously served on the UK regulatory body for chiropractic the General Chiropractic Council 2003-2011. He is also a past president of both SOTO (Sacro Occipital Technique Organisation) Europe and SOTO International and was a founding board member of the College of Chiropractors Faculty of Paediatrics. Dr Williams helped to develop and put through validation and subsequently helped teach the MSc Chiropractic Paediatrics at the AECC and has in recent years taught the undergraduate paediatric programs at both Madrid College of Chiropractic and Barcelona College of Chiropractic. For a number of years Dr Williams presented a 36-hour certification series for Logan College of Chiropractic. Anaïs Badon DC CACCP, is a French chiropractor graduated in 2011 by the IFEC in Paris France. She recently opened « NaturaFamily » a pediatric chiropractic and wellness center in Murcia, Spain after practicing for years in Paris. She is the vice-president of the French Chiropractic Pediatric Association www.chiropedia.fr. She is passionate in motherhood and besides attending worldwide pediatric and perinatal chiropractic classes, she has studied pelvic floor rehabilitation, Biological Nurturing Breastfeeding, tongue ties, physiological baby carrier, baby massage, baby sleep, pediatric first aid… and to be a doula. For two years, she studied Perinatal Mental Health at the European Perinatal Health Institute in Madrid. She brought her passion in physiology to a next level by organizing perinatal seminars and conferences with renowned professionals such as Dr Michel Odent, Pr Kerstin Uvnäs Möberg, Dr Suzanne Colson. She is the European instructor in DBB Dynamic Body Balancing (the 100 hours craniosacral therapy of Dr Carol Phillips). Dr. Monika BuergerDr. Buerger graduated from Life Chiropractic College-West in 1991. She also has an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Fresno. She currently has a private family practice in Ammon, Idaho that is dedicated to serving those with neurodevelopmental challenges, neurodegenerative disorders and chronic health issues. She has been lecturing nationally and internationally for over 25 years. She is the pioneer in the chiropractic profession when it comes to working with children that have Neurosensory and Neurodevelopmental Disorders and brought this work to the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) where she lectured for nearly a decade.
She is a contributing author to the textbook Pediatric Chiropractic, Volumes I, II and III with chapters on Foundations of Neurodevelopment, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Pediatric History and Physical Exam. She writes regularly for various chiropractic magazines and journals about neurologically based chiropractic care. Dr. Buerger has always been ahead of the times, leading the way on health information and bringing the research from multiple disciplines to the chiropractic world in a subluxation based manner. She is the founder of the Academy of Neurodevelopmental Practices and has also collaborated with Dr. Heidi Haavik with Haavik-Buerger Seminars. Her “developingMINDS” certification program in Childhood and Adolescent Neurodevelopment is unparalleled. In this incredible program, she mentors practitioners from around the globe and has brought 30 years of her research, teaching, and clinical experience together to serve humanity at its highest level and help Turn the Tide for generations to come! Dr. Darren Barnes-HeathDarren’s interest in Developmental Neurology has grown over the 26 years he’s been a chiropractor becoming more of a passion when he became a Dad. He started teaching Developmental & Functional Neurology 10 years ago with the aim to make neurology as simple and relevant as possible, helping practitioners understand how they are affecting a child’s brain and giving them more treatment options.
While he attempts to keep up with the emerging research his days are mostly spent in clinic treating children with mild, moderate and severe learning disorders. He combines chiropractic techniques with sensory activation and primitive reflex integration to target the under-developed parts of the child’s brain. The blend of practical knowledge and research comes across in the Developing Brains Seminars which he has now taught in ten countries to various professions; Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Occupational Therapists, Developmental Therapists, Behavioural Optometrists and some in Education. His post-graduate learning included over a thousand hours of Functional Neurology, then to broaden his understanding of how children learn and different ways to assist this he observed and took CPD provided by Vision Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Audiologists and Speech & Language Therapists. He has worked for three local schools providing assessment and interventions for the children the teachers had identified as struggling, he receives referrals from across the UK and occasionally in Europe. Dr. Jenna DavisDr. Jenna Davis owns a highly successful family wellness multidisciplinary clinic, Acorn Family Health and Wellness Centre, in Oakville, Ontario. She is a family
chiropractor focusing on preconception, infertility, pre- and postnatal care,pediatrics, Peditric TMJ and women’s health. Dr.Davis loves working with families in all stages and has a unique ability to educate her practice members so they feel heard, honoured and understand how chiropractic can improve their function and life. She has a passion for educating and is an avid lecturer both in and out of her office. Dr. Jenna Davis is an author, educator and travels the world sharing to, large clinic groups, and conferences for multiple different professions. In 2016 Dr. Jenna created a technique, the P.I.P.S. Technique (Pediatric Intraoral Palate Specific Technique), specifically to assist with Pediatric TMJD, Tongue-tie, Lip-tie, Dural Tension and Oromotor Challenges, which she trains and certifies other chiropractors and manual therapists. Dr. Davis has many that she teaches worldwide on Pediatrics, Tongue and Lip Tie, Childhood Developmentǡ and Retained Primitive Reflexes, Family Wellness, Women's Health and Team Approach. She prides herself on her continual quest for the newest information and research and is a life long learner. Dr. Davis has done extensive postgraduate work and continues to expand and grow her knowledge base and resource team to give the best care possible to her practice members and the audiences she has the honour to present to. Dr. Davis utilizes her life and work experiences and challenges to help others learn and grow and, in turn, help chiropractic, chiropractors and healthcare professionals grow and flourish. Dr. Mike MarinusMike Marinus qualified with an M.Tech in Chiropractic from University of Johannesburg, South Africa in 2005 and went on to become a founder member of the South African Paediatric Chiropractic Association. He completed his Master’s degree in Paediatric Musculoskeletal Health in 2019 from Bournemouth University followed by a relocation to the UK in late 2020. He was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors in May 2021 and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Royal College of Chiropractors Pregnancy and Paediatrics Faculty.
Mike is currently working on the development of a Paediatric Chiropractic certification through University of Johannesburg in South Africa as well as being part of Logan Universities teaching staff for the Masters in Integrative Pediatrics Degree. Mike hosts podcasts for parents and professionals alike including the “Easy Baby Podcast” and “2 Paed Chiros” podcast featuring Mike alongside Australian Chiropractor and researcher Dr Christian Fludder DC. Mike is also the founder of The Pediatric Network, an online teaching platform for all professionals working with children. He has published scientific works regarding Plagiocephaly, manual therapy for excessively crying infants as well as chiropractic interventions in developmental delay. Dr. Lyn Gerner
Dr. Lynn Gerner, DC, FICPA, CLEC is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West in 2004 and has been in private practice since that time; focused on pediatric care and breastfeeding support. She earned her Fellow in Pediatrics In 2004 through the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), is a trained doula, and earned her CLEC (Certified Lactation Educator Counselor) in 2021. She founded the Good Life Learning, LLC (a professional education company) in 2019 to help spread the word about the benefit of the Chiropractic adjustment in connection with feeding dysfunction and oral restrictions. In this new and emerging specialty field, she also recognized the need for advanced training for the Chiropractor as well. She currently teaches privately as well as through Life Chiropractic College West, Northeastern Chiropractic College, Gold Lactation Learning, and the ICPA. Dr. Gerner was recently a lead author of a research paper with the ICPA, setting the Chiropractic industry standard on care of infants with Tethered Oral Tissues and breastfeeding dysfunction. She is a wife, mother of 3 adult children, and lives in Davis, CA, USA with her family and rescued dogs. Beyond her professional work, her other passions are traveling the world whenever possible and cycling (sometimes at the same time).
